i almost fell asleep in DnT. because of the air con. lol.maths short test results. 4/5. careless mistake. argh.
missed chemistry for rehearsal at nanyang. band was really fast in moving instruments today. only 5 minutes. wow.
thats a GOOD record. (:
the woodwinds had one whole bus to themselves. totally cool. /grins
nanyang girls' was HUGE. but the auditiorium. is REALLY dry. gosh. mr lim didnt like this a bit.
after our turn, sat down to watch the others. when it was yuhua + regent 's ensemble group, our whole side had to scream with excitement. LOL.
yokelian and zhenjun looked so CUTE! :D
joined the brasses bus. plus accapella group and 3 AES students. had a great time bombing and

i was late today.maths lesson was scary. ms beh threatened to punish me if i dont tell her the truth about the new seating arrangements.

maths short test kind of freaked me out a lil'.
the VP looked up for me cause i didnt pick up some paparwork thing from the office this morning. obviously it was because i was late. i'm slightly amused that yiming didnt go take the paperwork stuff instead.
new physics teacher who's working alongside ms lai. and he's so lame. super lame actually. but quite cool. (:
band was good.
sec 1s came really early. guess its cause they'r let off early. and they helped arrange chairs before any senior did. wow.

first day of school for semester 2.fell asleep on the study room floor again last nite. how? i seriously think i sleep walk. really.
timetable changed. chemistry, physics, maths and THREE periods of chinese on tuesday together? please.
new chinese teacher. she's cool to a certain extend cause she actually managed to interact with eugene YAP. lol.
new seating arrangement. i'm sitting right between the window and EE-WEEEEE. ok. i mean chun jie. and chen yang is behind me. infront is nan lin.
history test today. had to rush my SEQ. damn. ):

church with jiahui, minfang and diwadeb was fun. new fren. Lalita. special name with a touch of spice. lol.met up with digambar and all of us went for lunch and movie at cineleisure. GHOST TRAIN. ticket was like, $9.50. i almost fainted.
ghost train was SCARY. wouldnt stop burying my face almost into diwadeb's shoulder. and silly him. keep asking stupid qns. like " why the ghost train crash here huh?? "

laypeng if you'r looking for your dear note, its in the previous post (:in case you all dont know. i'm not ONLY in the clarinet section. i'm ALSO in the flute section. as a half member. (:

so now i'm a half-flute-section-ian. the flute section of regent agreed to it. and i'm glad. :D
flute section [except ruyu] had sectionals at my house and jiahui and i just lazed around watching blurly. haiqing cant hold his air for 4 counts. o my.
jurong point with flute section. ate at KFC and saw keith with his hair bleach golden brown. i was like. DOTS.
bought famous amos cookies FRESH from the oven for four bucks per 100g which is actually quite a pathetic quantity. but who cares. its FRESH, damn it.
convinced poh ying to eat at yuting's hse for dinner with me. yuting cooked. and it was EDIBLE. plus factor, it WAS yummy fried rice. i'm satisfied. ((:

wahahaha. joined the section only like 2 years ago from saxophone. but you'r the sort of 'kai xin guo' in the mist of us. brighten up the whole section and stuff. even though you didnt join SYF you still helped our sec 1s!! you and your smile foreverrrr. will miss you to bits. ((:

the very first person who ever taught me how to play a proper clarinet chromatic scale. the very first person whom i met before entering the music room. respect you a lot cause you'r a good asst. band major and 'teacher'. very patient and also funny with us!! will miss u too!! :D

wahaha. i'm gonna make you cry from reading this cause i initially wanted to pass you a letter but in the end FORGOT to bring on the graduation nite so now typing it out. sorry. haha. k. i'll tryyyy to make u cry though i doubt it will laaa. kkies. hmm.
i remembered when i JUST entered the band that time eileen told us sec 1s that you and jiahui were the latest to enter the clarinet section yet the fastest to learn and that we had to learn from you all. so i was like WAH. REALLY. so quickly learn hoping to catch up with seniors. then i really dont know you at all cause firstly i hardly talk to you during sectionals and secondly i was quite scared of drills' instructors at that time cause they shout too loud and too much [whatever. i sec 1 oni what.]
then mid sec 2. they changed our section leader from eileen to you. then me, yokelian and others were VERY uncomfortable cause not used to the sudden change. we got a bit jumpy and frighten at times and other times dont even care anymore. then i remembered when you JUST became a section leader, only a week old, i asked yokelian and kexin.
" who will be you miss the most during graduation next year? "
and they replied
" yiting ".
thats all. i figured that they dare not trust someone whom they were not so familiar with yet so i didnt say anything. Before the KL trip, our section was trying to figure out the 'Saturday Nite Fever' rythmn and we kept laughing cause we kept getting mixed up. =pp During the KL trip, i was sitting with yuting and unfortunately you were sitting behind me so i had to put up with you laughing like crazy all the way with jiahui and putting your feet inbetween mine and yuting's chair to SCARE us. then you started with your Elmo song which then mr lim recorded down on vcd and BOOM. our sesame street history began. finally it was the preparing of Opus II. our section practiced together always in a happy mood cause you would do the UNTHINKABLE like pulling ppl's hair all of a sudden or something then every laugh. our section like just turned nuts. yoke lian was struggling with her solo and you kept reminding her to play out play out when she was afraid or something. and somehow she managed to play it out!! =DD yay. then its like our section had so many problems, musically or emotionally, and i was always scared that you would just give up on our section and just walk away angrily. but nopeee. u would rather resort to talking to them nicely and blah. (:
then finally came this year. you took the sec 1s and at first i thot it was pretty harsh on you that you had to take them all on even with your O levels year this year. but then, it turned out the clarinet sec 1s were the fastest learners among all sec 1s and yes. your effort paid off ((:
seriously, i was rather impressed. i knew taking 8 ignorant and totally blur first time sec 1s would be difficult but i wouldnt even expect them to learn that fast. then u started to have those lessons and blah. sectionals were different. it was a lot a lot more quieter. even yokelian pointed out that " elmo isnt here. " and we would get all odd and stuff. then at times u and esther would pass by and if you noticed, we would become all excited all of a sudden and start doing silly things to you like RUFFLE YOUR HAIR and PULL YOUR ARMS and anything. ((:
the sec 1s started to ask stuff like " where's lay peng " and we would have to reply " o levels laaaa " and they would go " HUH. SO FAST?? " then at times mr lim would be like " 5 clarinets only? " and we would just realise how small our section has became. surprisely, we would turn around and whisper to each other " come on!! lets play louder!! " and yeah. we did. then came the time i was appointed probational band major. needless to say i was pretty much freaked out and scared. screaming isnt my speciality with my high pitched voice and everything. we had the training session and you wouldnt stop imitating me in my voice and join dunno what 'rebecca's club' . waha. even when i cried at certain stuff while having my post, you smsed me to remind me to perservere on and that it will take time for me to learn. its because of this that i kept reminding myself that " act and be like a band major. even if you'r just a probational one. "
then came the time we were at bedok north's for a sectionals session with Li Xin. after that i figured we could FOR ONCE have a SECTION lunch and suggested it. and yeah. we had a great time all talking together about ' that weird girl ' and i ended up thinking to myself.. " will the section ever have a chance to sit together and eat like this again? " finally SYF came. i did the unthinkable and started praying for everyone and you were looking at me all weirdly. we made it through the SYF even with a silver. the section photo we took was probably our first, last and best one.
then POP came. you all passed out and were sitting over there awaiting regent's turn to perform. i had a churning feeling that you would be wondering whether " the clarinet section can make it anot?? " for merry widow. but not sure then. so we played on. hopefully we didnt let you down. then auld lang syne. sec 1s had been practicing a lot at home and school and i KNEW you would be the first to cry although you wouldnt admit it. i didnt cry. i really didnt. being the cold heartless me? i realised lots of people were crying but not me yet. until the very last note the sec 1s sang hit me then my eyes got a bit blurry before clearing away again. sec 4s joined in and the mood got higher. then we broke off for photos. yoke lian was practically crying a river with fatin. i havent cried. i wasnt thinking of anything. blank blank blank. then u came over with cui fen. and blah. HUG. and THEN. tears started streaming down. (: it was like. last year i totally didnt cry. i probably didnt have any seniors whom i actually liked to talk to and laugh with very much. maybe it was just different this year. this year we have some people whom we actually didnt want to leave us because of all the good times. i realised that you were the first ever senior who i really dared to talk to and laugh with personally. for the other seniors, i would always step back and put on a fake front before nearing them. liyana was cute. she was like " i saw lay peng crying, so i cried. "
funny how someone can impact another? it came to me then perhaps this was the last time we were having a 'sesame street' photo and jokes together, the last time i could play and laugh with you, the last time the section could joke around with you, the last time we can all play the clarinet section together as Clarinet Section 2005 when we were playing singapore rhapsody. And in one year, it would be mine, kexin's and siying's turn.
Everything is fast. But thats time.
Yoke Lian asked me during dinner yesterday.
" rebecca, who do you think I will miss the most after today? "
I thought of her answer last year and said.
" oh. yiting i guess. "
she shook her head and said.
" you'r wrong. i'll miss Lay Peng first. then the section. "
i was so touched. (:

-first ever- Passing Out Parade was nice. ((:i forget to bring my seniors' prezzies. ))):
reached bedok north and went straight for formation rehearsal. could hear sec 1s from both schools playing Hey Jude and What A Wonderful World from school hall. lol. sweet.
lunch. concert rehearsal. parade rehearsal.
BOOM!
start. (:
saw darren from my class!!! haa.
marched in. lalala. blah blah. almost blanked out cause i was either too nervous or something and almost forgot the notes. whew. display wasnt as good as our rehearsals'. but yeah. it doesnt really matter anymore. (:
zhang'e, siying, anyan, ruiqin and some other people had high fever [up to 39.8 degrees, mind you], flu or was just sick. yet they marched and endured. (:
concert. edward did it! =D awww. though he's not my section junior but i dont care. i'm still freaking proud of him. ((: could hear our sec 1s' horns' blasting the brassy sound. so impressed. x_x
merry widow was good. (: bedok north's blue ridge saga was nice. could feel them 'pouring' out all their feelings. ((: graduation. Old Scottish Melody. and lay peng wouldnt admit she was crying. LOL. sec 1s sang so nicely. especially the very very last note. (: and somehow the sec 4s joined in for the encore. lol. sweeeettt. plus factor that my section was crying. even most of the sec 1s. lol.

even in school the spirit was still there.

Back from Camp Tetra II. was almost living hell there cause we get pumped [boys' style] and scolded and shouted at and have to wake up at 6am and blahhh. you get the idea.SUMMARY. (:
Day 1 - 14th July
I/Cs : minfang and digamber. ran here and there. games! my group combined with jiahui's group [HITLET] for some rope skipping thing to see who can reach the other side first. and YAY. we did it. =DD jovin did really well for the octopus game using communications methods. ((: field cooking at night IS fun. lol. fell asleep in front of the lecturer during the night lecture. gosh. /shakes head
Day 2 - 15th July
I/Cs : jordan and pauline. went to pulua ubin in the early morning. had to use a map and compass to walk the whole island to find answers to questions with the help of clues. gosh. the kilometres i must have walked. at least my group sang and encouraged each other during the trip. YAY. (:
Day 3 - 16th July
I/Cs : farah, dororin and mandy. parade and concert rehearsal. sec 1s so cute! =D learned full formations tonight. did a run through from first to last formation non-stop and we succeeded!! =DD and EVERYONE was like SO SO SO HAPPY!!! wahah. the feeling is. priceless. just feel so proud. ((: played scavenger hunt and my group did the story telling thing. and i LIKED it. lol. nite. one last 'silent' game. everyone learned about giving and blah.
Day 4 - 17th July
I/Cs : Jovin, Suhaila and JiaXing. cleared tents. sec 1s to 4s from both schools came down to regent and thenn. had combine lunch. and yeah. canteen was in havoc. haha. special concert for us by some NUS graduates and SAF saxophonists. and gosh. the marimba player is like scary. lol. didnt know Ms Loh could play the piano so well. gosh i'm so excited about tomorrow's CAMP TETRA II that i cant stop smiling to myself! supposed to be a leadership camp, but heck, i'm ready to get TORTURED! =DDits almost 12 and i havent even packed. waiting for daddy. (:
