taking another break.oh boy.
ever heard of the term you practiced till you'r totally exhausted?
well, er, in a way, it sort of happened to me.
ears getting more and more sensitive to what kind of notes my violin is producing.
so i will also get headaches when a note is not in tune.
hur. fancy that.
after being a student conducter for so long,
headaches will form when something's sharp or flat.
haha. :D
tsk. now i know why i always get headaches.
heh.

OPUS III.woo.
didnt go to school today.
laypeng will prob slaughter me cause it sounds like i skipped school.
well, uh, i didnt?
yeah.
went to sch in the afternoon get ready w instruments.
loads of ppl asking whether i'm playing or not.
and sorry man, i myself didnt know. lol.
rehearsal was good.
i wasnt inside though, was talking to mr tan.
mr tan is so cool man :D

Opus. like. 20 mins before it, mr lim told me i could play.
and the teachers were happy for me uh.

i love my batchmates and section mates so much.

concert was alright.
2nd half was exactly THE thing. haha.
rehearsal had been better, as usual.
but not much diff, we still played and enjoyed :D

read the news today, Mr Lim Kim San's funeral, yup.
and there was this old man who attended the funeral.
and he stressed that "i wish the younger generation would be less materialistic and more aware of where Singapore came from."

from the happy happy self i was today,
sadness just punged into me.
cause i think its true!
here we are asking for money, cellphones, cars, blah blah!

had bible study today, was great.

and i remembered about the THANKSGIVING.

yup, sometimes all of us take too many things for granted.
we just dont give thanks for everything.

i just realised i have been taking my instruments for granted
not the clarinets i play in band.
not the piano or flute i play at home.
but the violin.
yes, tell you all the truth, i hate my violin the most.
play finish, fingers pain, arm pain, blah blah.
so i never had taken violin very seriously in my life before.
SERIOUSLY.
and my past teachers had always complimented/complained (however you put it) that i would have already been a very competitive-standard violinist if only i would practice at least 20 mins A WEEK.
i'm not showing off. its the truth. i know it myself too.
see how much i dont wish to sacrifice. see how much i'm throwing away.
and for those who dont know, the violin is my very FIRST instrument.
yup.
and when people ask me whether i play the violin,
really, i feel ASHAMED to say YES.
because i dont LIKE to play it. i think its HORRIBLE.
and i always tell people NOT TO PLAY THE VIOLIN!

i told kexin (saxophone) not to play the violin in poly!
OH THE NERVE OF ME ):
and yes. believe it or not. i gave up all the chances God had given me.
God had talked through my teachers to ask whether i would enter this and that competition.
and my reaction always?

i'm too ASHAMED to be SEEN with a VIOLIN.
to me, a violin must have been the WORST INSTRUMENT.
not because i cant play it, bloody hell, i CAN play it well.
but its just because i REFUSE TO TRY. I REFUSED TO PLAY.
and i'm taking it for granted.
i've seen people like zhenjun and dororin pointing out to me how lucky i am to have a piano at home, to have a violin, to have lessons, blah blah, you name it.
and i just dont care. just. ORH.
and to make things worse,
i skip violin lessons.

ok.i didnt go to band.
for like the first time in my life!
and it was not on purpose la.
i wanted to go for church in the afternoon!

so yeah, in the morning was my fault,
didnt wake up in time for band at sandy's hse.
sad. oh well. :D
mr lim smsed me like, 2 mins before sermon.
something about me breaking my promise and missing a impt rehearsal and that he might take me off opus.
first reaction, cry a bit.
laypeng was beside me, she quickly wrote me an encouraging note. (:
so when the video came on and i saw my face, ppl prob will think i'm crying because i'm so touched!
HAHA.
but anyway.
after like 10 mins, i was like, dunno what to do.
then 15 mins passed. and i made my decision.
if mr lim wants me to leave Opus,
i will leave Opus.
he probably wants me in band, as a band major.
and i dont want to be there, as a christian.
so how?
make life easier for both of us.
prayed to God, i told God to let mr lim let me stay.
BUT.
if mr lim wants me to leave, i will leave.
no regrets.
i stood firm with God, i knew what i was doing.
even if he starts a tale on how a certain regent band major missed band practice because of church and something, it wouldnt matter anymore.

i was late for school again.typical.
had to do the 7 rounds on the field.
w marion & carol. haha. was fun! lame x)
dnt 5 periods
didnt do much on artefact

and haozhi is so nice, he said he would help me (:
but i'm not doing my artefact, ahh, see?!
assembly was real good.
for the first time, i was actually entertained by a acting cast group.
like, FINALLY. :D
they got the audience laughing, so yeah.
think they captured most of the girls' attention,
thanks to the storyline of 2 boys 1 girl.
you know.
that one again, hurhur.
band was pretty good. (:
my section's selling loads of tickets! yay

today's my first time in bible study.i woke up early for once on a sunday morning,
haha, credits to my violent sister cheryl and laypeng
and it was great great great
the study i mean
we studied on cults and next week we would be doing supernatural stuff
i cant wait :D

ahhh
oh well, blame myself for falling asleep again, LOL
had sectionals in the morning w our new temporary tutor
he's great :D
but the way he talks and stuff, everything, its like MR LIM
of all people, yes
blahrs, but the bottem line is though he's strict and all,
he's GREAT (:
i'v never seen yokelian so so serious abt her solo parts before
its impressive
this tutor really pushed her, woo
my clarinet sec 1s are like super naughty.
when mine/yokelian's backs are turned
they will purposely run away
talk about hide and seek ah x)

went to church in the afternoon

missing schools 3 alternate days in less than a week?

but i still went for band rehearsal,
since i felt better, yep (:
rehearsal area was at ZhengHua square
its freaking open aired
plus the spotlight was shining at the left part of the band.

oh.i owe like tons of homework.

handed up my maths, finally (:
mrs fong gave me an encouraging comment :D
extra physics lessons, i almost died
did prelim papers from some other school
was pretty much easy, only that i forgot all the formulas despite the hangings
oh well
went down to AJC w zhenjun to meet dororin
yeah, she went for the audition
and according to her, it was ok but someone stopped her halfway
haha, okkkk
night, took 190 down to the animal hospital
yes, an ANIMAL HOSPITAL
i never knew there was one
and all the while, it was right smack opp the SJI tennis court
oh slap me
dororin's kitten passed away too
the vet said ours was a rare species, mixed persian and something
and that the kitten was way too small to leave its mother, so ah well
my Charlie left too, at night!sigh-
oh well, maybe it'll be better if she didnt stay one
she could have suffered fr other diseases
so dor and i went to one of her sis's friend's house to bury the kittens together
and her house has 17 cats, her neighbour has 10 cats
oh my
i have NEVER in my entire life seen so many so many cats before
its like, wherever you turn, even at the carpark,
there's at least 6 cats lurking around
and all of them were hers, including the strays!
wow, cool
they even respond to names you know.
i want a cat too. not a kitten. lol.

and i almost panic cause it has my beloved scream-city foolscap pad and two stacks of opus tickets and my maths homework! haha.
but i did pray, and zhenjun smsed me AFTER HE REACHED HOME that it was w aaron.

had to go down to meet aaron on the LRT all the way at pending.
ahh.
in case you'r wondering why i rushed down for really, my maths homework.
its because i missed so many lessons and i owe teacher so many homework.
mrs fong will slaughter me, but she wont.
cause she's so sweet and nice!!

she's so nice until i cannot bear to not do my homework today.
and the only homework i get/do is maths, so oh well. :D
oh, and maths extra lessons are on fridays, and it clashes w my music so she let me off! but she smiled at me and told me to more of my maths TYS.

its really early, but i still feel like bloggingblarhs;
anywayi realised that i sometimes had been making my own semi-decisions
its like all i think is can or cannot?
never is it supposed to be or supposed to be not?
i think i really shouldnt be doing that.
so yes, i'm going to have to apply what i learned and preached.

you teach her something once,
it goes into her like a sponge.
only that because she used to be educated in malaysia (chinese educated),
she has a major problem with simple english words,
plus she has rather a short attention span too, so yeah
will see about it.

today is a band day.a band saturday (:
today was great (:
i fell in today

didnt expect it, haha
funny, jordan me charles zhenjun we all fell in w the sec3s

sectionals w mr lim was so much better
i improved so much than the last time
now its only my Four Scottish Dances and i'm sure i'm well off
ohh
i badly want Gelato, so sick of Samba that i can kill myself
yokelian did GREAT in her solo today :DDD
high chance that sat practices going to be extended to 4pm for the next 2 weeks
really pray that wont clash with sermon and service
i dont want to miss the masterlife series )))):
church, dororin yanxiong & minfang came
didnt masterlife and stuff w sermons
thought at first that i wouldnt understand sister wanping's sermon
but i think i ended up laughing quite a lot
she really can relate a lot to us
but i dozed off a bit at the end
too many scriptures to flip and write huh
small group was on masterlife
so disappointed that i only finished up to day 3 ):

am going to finish by today or tomorrow
i want to do it all properly (:

didnt go to school today.
why?
1) i woke up at 9:15. no one woke me up for sch ):
according to my sister, even my kittens were mewing so loudly at 6am to wake me up for their milk. UHH.
2) since its ALREADY 9:15, i dont want to go to sch. especially since they implemented the 8am-send-home thing.
3) its relief teachers the whole day today. whats the use.

band today was weird
the atmostphere for the first one two hrs were like, totally quiet
as in, band morale was like, SUPER LOW

like, he didnt even scold anyone, just kept prompting and stuff
well, according to him, w/o seniors (s4s), its better, cause the jrs can show off.

was ranting away about green forest my home, the drama series
especially to elaine and yvonne
i'm encouraging ppl to watch it :D
had my chinese o levels oral today
so irony, i just knew abt it a few days ago
anyway, it went ok
i found myself shaking a bit on my voice for the passage though
yeah
band was just like that.
felt kind of weird, kind of empty and blur.
i dont know why.
maybe cause i'm used to being a band major.
then now like, just sit there as a normal band member.
LOL, cute.
tad disappointed at some people.
but oh well,
its just like that.
saw some stuff which made me really happy today too,

i bet $2 w zeting that germany will win italy.
