its supposed to be a HAPPY teachers' day.this teachers' day wasnt half 'happy'.
woke up at like 7am by my mom who nagged at me. my mom hardly nags, and when she does, you better run. so i got really pissed off and just went. ha. i'm quite a pro at that, i'll say. (read on for my reference on NAGGING)
ACES period was making the teachers, especially the discipline committee teachers really really mad. everyone was supposed to walk off the court in twos, but the sec 3s left in a line. and there the teachers were, right smack in the middle of the lines, totally defeated, not knowing what to do. not that i blame them. anyway, sec 3s had to walk a longer route this year. pass kranji primary. and woah. when i walked pass that primary school, shouts of joy were heard ever so often. i wanna be back in primary school. zz. now that you'r in a secondary school, it isnt exactly fun.
rehearsal was next. poor deputy head prefect jiahui was TOTALLY stressed out. i kind of pitied him. really. didnt ran through both pieces with the sec 3s band, just practiced walking in and out.
the one thing that made me happy, was the sec 3s unity and strength. the WHOLE sec 3 band cohort gathered in the girls' changing room [yes.. including the guys!] and we had a sec 3 booster cheer. really motivated the lot. glitter was sprinkled in every direction and everyone made sure they AT LEAST had glitter in their hair. before the performance, one more booster cheer. ((:
showed them the pieces of paper which i wrote down. sec 3s smiled. haha. hall was full and stuff, thus, the nervous atmostphere on stage. centuria. trombones had the band flags tied to their slides, so it looked ABSOLUTELY cool. lord of the dance was good. everyone liked the drumset. lol. x)
well done, sec 3s. :D
i think i finally understand why mr lim usually make us play the whole thing through only on the ACTUAL DAY. it may be quite negative, but still, i think, i think.
they turned up (: i knew they wouldnt disappoint me
was told to go up to the gallery, and wth. no space. zz. sat with zeting and some other people. was supposed to give the teachers' day big big cards. gave mr seetho his and he was like OMG at the mosquito pic. lol.
thought they just went home already. again i wasnt disappointed ((:
when the cutting of cake was in session on stage, most of the sec 3s 'just up and left'. except for the band sec 3s of course, photo session. ((: the poor teachers on stage faced half a school instead already. o well. that shows how 'well-mannered' the whole school sec 3s are. lol. then sec 2s started to follow. lol. EXAMPLE. tsk.
exhausted. walked home. didnt go de la salle. phylis is right. no point going back when all the teachers are gone and out of the school. ):
home. yucks. i was really irritated at my mom. there she was nagging and nagging about why clothes which are white should be placed into another bucket.
firstly, i hate people who nag. its just that i dont surface it alright.
secondly, i dont see the point of nagging. whats the point of nagging me about buckets and water when u claim that you already told me but yet i forget cause the last time you told me was last year? whats the point? then you might as well write down everything for me.
ok back to the point. slacked at home till nite playing maple and reading quizzes.
i know i'm supposed to be checking up on stuff, but i'm rather lazy nowadays. lol. am supposed to be sending an email to MOE about admission to interlochen. but wth. turns out i have to CALL up MOE. and then i have to wait for my dad to come home to help me call them. boo. then also supposed to send an email to Interlochen Arts Academy Ambassador. but the email was stuck or something. argh.
zz. i pray moe says that singapore accepts american certificates. or else i can just scrape interlochen. which i REALLY dont want to. haiz. ):
on the other hand, lets pray that interlochen accepts singaporean students too though our academics are faster than them by like 2 years. (:
o yes. the interlochen admission form is like. 10 pages long. woah. nvm. i like filling in stuff, so heck la. :DD
you know december will be coming sooner than i thought. band members, what does that mean? IT MEANS HONGKONG TRIP IS COMING. grr. means cannot slack. must work hard play hard. yes yes.
one more thing. the centuria by whichever recording company totally sucks. i dont want to listen to it.

the teachers' day
physics was STILL on temperature. gosh. really. i hate temperature. i hate the thermometer. ):
sec 3 rehearsal today. the teachers claim we are really ARROGANT.
i dont get it. if we'r not what you call arrogant, what would we have been? i personally feel our batch is really enthu about performing and stuff, maybe a bit OVER-enthu. but still, being over enthu is not arrogant. whatever. maybe the teachers just dont like the sec 3s. so what? lets face it, we still have a year to go. no. perhaps a few months. ok nvm. i'll stop complaining. dont want a teacher to read my blog and RANT about this, though i emphasize, this is my blog, thank you. and there's no stupid rule that band majors cannot complain. and i think complains are good cause if there were no complaints in this world, the world might, yes, be better, but yet more restricted.
if God zaps anyone who's arrogant at any point of time, the world would have been filled with nothing but plants now. yes, even teachers are arrogant and fussy. maybe even the president of USA or something.

self proclaim: HAPPY TODAY. ((:a beautfiul morning, and i have to go to school. not that i'm complaining, i really like school. (:
realised all my clocks were at different times. thats when the panic arises. all of them are going bonkers. damn.
got a chocolate bar from chenyang (thx!) for you-dont-eat-sweets-sake. lol. i was in a state of shock but really glad. chocolate makes anyone's day, right?? (((:
got back my second mother tongue paper. a 49%. i blame myself for not copying one
pissed off with mr seetho during his lesson. i feel more like a
history was a total rack, like always. got back my source based, and just as i predicted, i'm almost on the failing source based side. damn. my A might be pulled down to a B with these small tests, no matter how good my assignments and big tests are. sigh. )):
spent DnT doing something i wouldnt have dream of doing. doing up my band schedule for the camp. i dont know how, but i wasnt caught at all. yet i was doing it oh-so-openly. strange. when you do something 'bad' openly infront of a teacher, he wouldnt catch you. when you do something 'bad' secretly infront of a teacher, he will.
i'm getting more to the philosophy's side. :DD
today i learned something i would not have learned from my classrooms, classwork and teachers. and thats how BOYS work. no, its not how they move or anything. Its how they think.
Today, one of my male friends broke up with his girlfriend. he told me all about what had happened between him and his stead. all the problems, the solutions, the suggestions? usually i would cast guys would have this problems aside rather hastily, being the 'sexist female' i am. Yet, when i listened and understood today, i realised that whenever girls think " you do not understand me " , they just DONT know that yes, the guy doesnt UNDERSTAND you, but he UNDERSTAND UNDERSTANDS you. thats a fact. a true statement. i would never have believed that his stead would ever be like that. Right. Never judge a book by its cover. now it has come to my attention to this conclusion, dont ever TRY to play with boys' heart. you dont know what you'r playing at. guys seem like I-CAN-TAKE-IT but their heart can be ten times more fragile than the girls'. it may be fun to see him looking jealous or risking this and that for you, but hey, you'r on the losing side, that's YOUR stead. so much to understand, yet you'll have to see how much effort and time you are willing to put into a relationship to understand him. and his plight, for goodness sake.
it scares me when boys cry. thats when they show their true feelings. i got scared today. twice. sigh.
i've learned to treat my class boys with much more respect. (:
3 more breakups occured this past weeks. i kind of expect many more to come. mostly from the sec 4s. the stress and stuff, yeah you get it.
it all seems so familiar
music at acs wasnt the lesson, but just the common test for CA2. and wow. it wasnt a SHORT one. did harmony and melody writing first. Gosh, if i could sight sing really well, i wouldnt be trying to figure out whether my melody could work or not. Western music was next. and i didnt know what were DEVICES. o my. ended up putting down instruments for i-dunno-why reasons. World music was the next section, sort of listening comphrension. apparantly, i cant tell from a biwa, koto and shamisen. my my. i hope i dont fail. ):
ended up going home early. i HATE going home early. cause i will like fall asleep on the sofa or just an easy chair. like what just happened. BOO.
jiahui just called up. we HAVE to use the stage. sigh. o well. at least the attire is something i can look forward to. ((:

saw my maths temporary overall marks. a 72. A2. oh my. that is like a super big jump from my usual E8s and F9s. way too shocking, for the fact that i didnt study.credit goes to ms beh. ((((((:
mr seetho was being an ass today. a really big one. to the guys. he's just way too biased. like come on, i should be rejoicing that he is super nice to the gurls. but. i'm not.
nanlin got really mad at mr seetho and started throwing down the teachers' stuff from the table onto the floor. the guys turned over the teacher's table and started kicking at it like no one's business.
someone had the cheek to tell me,
" eh. chairperson never stop them ah. "
o please. i was enjoying the scene. why couldnt mr seetho have been there?
i'll slaughter the next person who thinks i'm the oh-so-great-chairperson

a good chairperson knows right from wrong, why and why not. a teacher's pet chairperson will never win and will always be the oh-lets-all-do-this-please type.

rushed home to get my camp proposals and stuff. came to school and got the news, that we COULDNT have a camp.
the exco was like super devasted. after planning and blah. this?
turned out it was the N levels which clashed with us. hey. i'm not against any N levels exams or anything, this is national ok?
went to find mr tan and crap man, got lectured by him instead. about now i'm having a different post in band and must this and that.
exco are just like prefects in school. everyone wants to be part of the group cause they think its so good and 'powerful'. but until you join the group, you then find your post sucky until everything is already nicely laid out and perfect. but no, you ARE the one who has to lay out everything. then your friends jeer at you and stuff because yu ARE in the group.
thats just total crap. but i actually believe its true.
so zhenjun suggested turning to mr lim for help. our last resort. so we did. and he must be like super busy cause he picked up after thousand of missed calls. i think we must have really disturbed him. opps. lol. x)
anyway. mr lim gave us advice. call this person then that. blah blah. kind of funny. i thought he would just go " oh. ok lor. too bad. " or something. so now mr lim doesnt just rawk, he rawks rawk. heh. ((:

was trying to teach the guys how to play CHEAT/BLUFF during CME with POKER CARDS but got caught by mrs eswaran. opps.
watched some chemistry video during PSE. impressed by the guy who sang about the periodic table.
overall science's marks. like less than half of the class pass. i passed. woah. i'm shocked.
sec 3's rehearsal was weird. i realli hate the school hall curtains cause its TOTALLY absorbing our band's music sound. argh. ))))):

chinese test was so dots.some fight broke out during recess. a BIG BIG BIG fight. o my. a fork flew over my head while i was eating. geez.
i wouldnt stop going " boys only like to fight " when i was inside the classroom. must have made ppl really irritated. lol.
physics lesson was a total racket with only mr chen handling us. and people wouldnt stop accusing me of LOOKING 'sad'. zz.
think mr seetho is now REALLY mad at me cause i dont like to do my job as the chairperson. but hey. its not the chairperson who has to be the guai-est or the most hardworking in class.
ok. i did something bad. mr seetho wanted to confiscate kaixun's shirt and i went to hide kaixun's shirt for him. poor mr seetho.

had sec 3 rehearsal. decided on a 2nd piece already. shh. ((:

my head's totally bursting. i'm not sure why. but i'm making a guess that its the heat.
got back my maths. a shocking 24/40. i almost screamed. okay. for a gurl who has never ever passed maths, this is, in my opinion, NOT BAD. :D
so i smsed some ppl to express my joy. LOL.

history ca2 marks are out. supposed to get an A1. then i was so nice and honest and told teacher it was actually an A2. mrs chong was so pleased. and she went "if i have a daughter, she will be like HER." to haozhi and the rest. :PP

i'm not a push over anymore. :DPOA always sucks when i dont understand anything.
bright side - today wasnt a sucky POA day. (:

SO I DONT KNOW MY MARKS FOR MY MATHS. )):
heh. dont ask me why i want to know my marks that urgently. this is like my first time in regent history liking maths. so even if i fail the paper, wth. i dont care. at least i tried.whatever. (:
learned about biasness and propaganda and those stuff in social studies. and i applied the 'biasness' factor to the later part of my day.
because.
today was the day i realised mr seetho is such a pain in the ass.
firstly, people tell me he's biased. i didnt believe them. until today. one look at chenyang's paper, then chunjie's, then mine.
ITS OBVIOUS MY DEAR MATES, BIASNESS IS IN THE RUNNING.
i got an 18/30. one of my worst scores. and to tell you the truth, i was expecting it. after all, i'm not quite even half a pro-ster in letter writing cause i always crap everything in ONE SHORT paragraph.
chunjie got a 19/30. shocking. but his english improved. ((:
chenyang's marks were lower than mine. and i would have to say, his language and whatever crap was definitely better by mine for this round.
someone pointed out saying MR SEETHO'S BIAS.
ha. and i believe it now.
so i asked mr seetho to review his paper again. cause by rights he should get higher. and he was giving me that " wth? you are sticking up for someone ? "
hello. i stick to my principles okay. i dont just throw someone's paper at your face demanding to change his/her marks.
ok nevermind.
i dont want to like go on with the 'biasness' stuff. its just plainly unfair to mr seetho too i guess.
so i'll shut up for now.
i'm still gonna have to pull off my 'chairperson' act till end of this year. (:

i must say, i havent felt this much excitement in the band for a long time. ((:

i DIDNT pass my physics common test. 11/25. OMG. and to think chunjie got like a 19 can?
gees. realised it was all my workings and stuff. i wrote and thought too much.
why couldn't i have a yet simpler mind? ):
played blackjack with boonchong during CME. and he now owes me $2. (:
got my chemistry marks from ms yeo. 13.5/35. PASSED. OMG. couldnt believe it! i nv even study la. x_x
maybe cause i was so simple-minded. argh.
overall for sciences paper passed. 25/50. zzz. one of my worst scores this year. )):

haozhi called chenyang's hse and found out from his dad he wasnt at home.
haozhi called chunjie up in case he had chenyang's hp number.
cannot find him ahhh.
in the end went up the station. and guess what. he was there. waiting. for like since 5:30 till 6:30. oh my. guilty guilty.

celebrations was today. and it rained early in the morning.so i was late for school.
and gangyuan accompanied me to the foyer cause he was a PREFECT. (:
and guess who was there.

went to class together accompied by them for some reason. people were giving us really weird looks.
and gosh. only half of our class went. grr.
siti was at parade. elaine was performing. that's as far as i know.
went down for the parade. according to some people, because this year its hosted by NCC, therefore the whole parade was not organized and it sucked.

didnt find the parade too bad though.
siti was supposed to be carrying the flag. )):
but she missed the parade rehearsal. so yeahhhh.
the whole class was split up during the concert. me, zeting and marion were probably the only living ones at the left side of the hall.

on this very day, i rotted till my lessons came and go.dont feel like going to school tomorrow. i mean, its like only till 10am. asked my mom, and she told me i could choose not to go to school.
until she asked me what was going to actually happen tomorrow, and i told her that there would be some kind of concert.
the next thing i know, she told me that i SHOULD go to school. to support my friends who are in the concert.
then i thought to myself,
yeah. if band was performing tomorrow, and no one came to the concert, how would i feel?

and we left MISS LOH in school cause no one was in sight.
and miss loh just HAD to demand for the bus to turn back when we were already halfway to Lau Pa Sat.

and boy, i regret not blaming her.

music perception today was SOOOO boring. i fell alseep like goodness knows how many times.
mengyi left during the break. she didnt want to face Mr Lee. LOL.
Mr Lee was so NAILED by us today. we bullied him again. /grins
and he taught us Japanese music instruments today. the japanese oboe sounds ten times louder than zeting's. and a lot more horrifying too.
fell asleep during melody writing and he got me to do the first demo cause i slept the most. some clapping rhythm exercise. LOL.
then to make things worse,
he made US write another bar of melody notes. or else. we couldnt go home. argh.
and it had to be in the format chord ONE-FIVE / FIVE-ONE.
everyone racked their brains. and turned out it was actually so easy. (:
helped ivan a bit. he went to draw bass clef. lol.
mrt ride with rachel and sean. talk and crap.
met zhenjun and hayati at mac. angie and chingyee there too. somehow. /smiles
dinner at foodcourt. ZHU CHANG FEN. (((:
and we were laming SO much. /laughs
popular. zhenjun bought me a new pen and hayati got me a new SCREAM CITY lecture pad.
YAY. THEY RAWK. :D
