was invited for countdown parties, outings, movies, trips to esplanades, and even to the sky symphony countdown (free ticket thanks to weizhi), but I COULDNT GO.

you know how horrible it felt? no. ha.
whatever. i took things on a much lighter note. went to lot 1 with my sister and dad for late lunch. (4pm?) cheryl left with her friends. so ate AJISEN with dad. the store's getting lesser customers, so i decided to be really nice. and its no doubt, their ramen is actually really nice ok?!
dad pulled me for a movie. zz. watched A Chinese Tall Story. oh gosh. it has no proper storyline and the plot sucks. but. its a REALLY funny show, maybe a bit overboard, but its definitely for people like yvonne, yokelian, ke xin, you get the group? mainly cause they'll understand all the funny parts, unlike me, still in a blur state.
somehow, managed to go for last-minute-shopping with dad after movie. so i got the 'I am gifted and so are you' book, 'chicken soup for girls' (something like that, cant be bothered to find out what right now), some school prepration items like writing materials and stuff like that, and it cost over a hundred bucks. WOAH. so we got a ' chronicles of narnia' clock at $1.90. LOL.
also got a pair of SNEAKERS!, new shoe laces, new pencil case, table scheduler, diary, and another long sleeved shirt from converse.
i spent another $80.

the performing part for regent already felt so weird from the beginning, and mr lim was right, we'r all becoming scared and timid, and that includes me too.

the malaysian band, SK came down. and some of them still recognized me as "the Eb REBECCA girl" though i might not really know all of them. but yeah. interesting. (:
sad. its phylis's last day in band, performing too. her mom wont allow her for band from next week onwards, so its like a really really early "stepping down" thing. ):
at night, the nanyang jc concert. was kind of weird. people from regent, hougang, and bedok north band all in public buses queueing up noisily at the sengkang bus interchange. LOL. :DD
the concert was okay. liked the christmas songs and all. jericho was a disappointment though. or maybe i just had too high hopes. bassoon soloist was good, and the tenor sax was even better, not to mention sexier too. (:
they played AULD LANG SYNE. all the regent band people were like looking at yoke lian full time. lol. inside story. /winks
yang bin cried. he said he missed digambar. aww. (:

(watch bassoons. LMAO.), peterloo overture (mr tan requested it. wth? LOL.), and loads of others. so exciting. and we'r given till about next month to give mr lim much more suggestions. YAY.

today half the BBQ came to practice at my house. in case you think its BARBEQUE, thats what i thought too. obviously, it actually was the Bedergent Brass Quintet.

loads of great movies today. and we watched American Pie - Band Camp, thanks to yonglin for renting it. like woah. its really off the hook. m18 rated, its like, a quarter porn. but who cares. its the band part i care about.
i cant believe i mistook banana milk for normal hi-lo milk. ok. whatever. i mean, its ok. after all, my cereal's already banana-related with those almond stuff and cornflakes. haha. ;)
someone just asked me what i'll eat tomorrow morning. and i realise i have so many choices. for once.

this is the first time i finished a whole plate of spaghetti from Food Culture. like. wow.
a puppy called 'Pudgy' came today. mum's friend's overseas. so she's letting us take care of it for a day. and the puppy is like, super obedient. gosh.
brought cheryl out to eat sushi for dinner. and i realised the max number of plates i can eat is only like, 7, before i start wanting to throw up and stuff. and i didnt know can. dots.
like i said, Pugdy is so adorable. He practically jumped on us when we came home.
watched The Maid on vcd. seemed to be noticing more stuff than i did the last time. so. yups.
violin lessons today werent that successful. i was so un-motivated, yet the teacher was still trying to make me laugh and those stuff. lol. anyway, told the teacher about the SSO tutor i might be getting, thanks to Ms Loh. And he's happy for me. thats nice. haha. (:

went to hougang sec. again. lol. for their campfire. so there were like. 14 of us. me, gangyuan, zeting, jordan, charles, jiahui, junhao, nicholas, haiqing, stephanie, dororin, yanxiong, zhenjun and hayati. did up the skit while the Bedergent Brass (lol. yonglin, rafidah, zhenjun, jordan, charles, jiahui) practiced their sextet thing. in the end didnt perform the skit, cause, maybe no time or they forgot. dunno.
campfire was fun. i screamed a lot. with hayati and xiangxiang. we'r crazy people can. lol. and now my voice is hoarsed. argh.
hougang sec people are really nice. especially their alumni, so damn on. and i made a new friend. sec 1 male flautist-just-turned-french-hornist-this-morning named shao han. haha. cute, cute, can compare with yang bin. lol.
o well. so sad. didnt have time to talk to them or anything. maybe next time. lol. their camp's cool. even the ava and scouts and others are camping with them. ahhaa.

update update on trip (:
careful. i'll go into details. so VERY long post ok. ((:
first day.
yokelian and most of the juniors came to send us off. and yokelian cried. lol. thanks liyana for the card. (:
s'pore security confiscated my scissors. and i didnt even know it was in my bag. boo. sat with junice in the plane. and she's a REALLY crappy/funny sec 1. haha. what 'plane need to do wheels warm ups' and stuff like that. its ok. people with surnames which are 'NG's are like that. LOL. o ya. mr lester lim came with us also for this trip, just like the malaysia trip. ha. cathay's pacific's flight isnt that bad. the food is good but i still ended up putting 4 packets of salt and pepper on the chicken rice. blah. hongkong's airport really big and nice. we even had to take the train to get from our gate to the customs counter.our 3 tour guides were veryyy nice and helpful. i wanted to take my luggage down and my bus's guide would be like 'leave it here! i'll do it for you!" to everyone. hongkong's scenery is beautiful. the mountains may not be as nice as those in europe but having mountains is good enough for me. somehow, hk looks a bit like singapore. so oh well. but the shop streets and stuff are like WOAH. big and flashy neon lights. just like those hk shows i watch on tv. muahas. anyway, we stayed at the YWCA. (not yMca. ok.) and it was like just walking distance from a primary school, middle school, high school, and 'nu ren jie' which is like s'pore's orchard road. HA. lucky us.shared room with xinying. room 904. but for our floor, we all had to share one communal floors unlike those in higher floors, so yeah. it was like band camp. lol. got to shopped at 'nu ren jie' and at their supermarket. blah blah. then dinner at the hotel cafe. and there was this singer. and we kept clapping whenever he finished a song so he was really happy and gave us a chance to pick our song. jiahui picked STAND BY ME and he started to ask jiahui loads of qns on stage. muahas. (:
second day.
breakfast at the cafe. then took the bus to the Hong Kong Institue of Education which is at the mountain peak. and it was freezing. 8 degrees when its supposed to be like 14-17. a really unexpected sudden drop in temperature, the tour guide and the professor told us. so we had to perform a lunch time concert in the open air and o boy. i couldnt even move my fingers. some people were so cold till we had to cover them with like 10 jackets. boo. i like the cold air but i dont like sudden drops. blahs. the concert was ok but it could have been much better. lunch at the school cafe and i got bullied into eating more vegetables than i had ever had in my life. mean! haha. then got to go to the HongKong Academy of Performing Arts. which is like our NAFA or Yong Siew Toh that sort of thing. got a tour from the professor and that place rocks. haha. what instrument practice rooms, ensemble rooms, music theory lecture halls and that sort of thing. and we watched their wind band's ensemble rehearse for their upcoming concert. plus the hongkong philharmonic's tuba principal player came to play a solo for Tuba Concerto. I LIKE THAT PIECE! WAHA. jordan asked mr lim to buy that piece. haha. phylis said one of their clarinetist was doing circular breathing. ahh. i didnt see. boo. their combines and rehearsals are like once a month or something i think, and they'r really good. muahas. dinner at cafe again and blah. at night, had section meeting in victor's room till curfew.
third day.
breakfast at the cafe. felt that if i ate one more western set i'll vomit. o well. had a morning tour around hongkong. went to the beach, temple, moutain tops, that sort of thing. lunch at some restaurant. and me, sean and kexin divided every single food plate item into everyone's bowls so everyone was eating everything. haha. our table rawked. ha. then had an exchange cum concert at a high school, HKCWCC (real long). and everyone's really friendly. started the concert with their school band, then string ensemble, and choir, followed by us. concert was much better. the teachers said our merry widow was very good. and i thought so too. the audience was really the enthu type too, cause when we performed Hawaii 5-0 for the encore piece, everyone clapped and their school's principal face TOTALLY lit up cause she recognized the piece. lol. then got to talk to their band during refreshments and they have a 15 year old male clarinetist who is taller than weijie and victor. LOL. and he rawks so i took most of my photos with him. HA. (leading to the "rebecca has a crush!" by siying. zz. lame) so when we fell in at their basketball court, they were rather impressed. maybe cause their band has a different way of falling in. o well. hotel. section meeting again. at victor's room. this time we went all the way to 12am and didnt know. LOL. muahas.
fourth day.
went to HKIE again. temperature was 18 degrees so it was like the aircon and so. hmm. rehearsed in their hall all the way and it wasnt a good hall cause it was really really dry. not that it was anyone's fault, its a LECTURE hall, what do you expect? haha. and had a break. so during the break, the other 4 bands came in to rehearse. lalala. then practice for mass band. so i got to sit in with people from the mixtures of other bands. and everyone except for the singapore band was speaking in cantonese so i was like HUH most of the time, especially if they tried to talk to me. and there's this Eb clarinet player sitting with me and she has a buffet Eb clarinet! ha. funny thing was that she had the Eb Small World score and i didnt have it back in singapore. o well. she played really loud. like she was challenging me or something. but on the other hand, she's like a tutor, so yeah. her tone would be really good right? yep. so the concert starts. first was the HKIE's band, then some middle school band, mostly p5s that sort of thing. real cute. and they performed with their choir. so it was really adorable. haha. then it was one of the more advanced bands. then followed by some high school band, Citywinds i think, and they were REALLY good. like some st andrews' thing.then our band. and we did well. (((((:
according to our tour guide, he said when he asked another guy sitting near him what he thought of our playing. and that guy happened to be some musician from dunno where. and that guy said every band which performs get better and better, and at us, it was the best. i dunno how true that is, but i can truthfully so that you can hear regent and bedok north's sound. muahas. i liked it. and victor's solo finally was on time and everything. and guess what. he was like. "of course. i already know mah." victor is so childish.mr lim gave this sort of speech. and it was really good. cause everyone was happy and you get the idea. bus ride was crazy. hotel, we went to victor's room again. some section thing we have. lol. victor is so childish, he keeps telling all those kiddy stuff to siying. (AHEM.) and thanks yangbin for the puzzle. (: slept in my room with felicia and cecilia. lol. i dont know how. x)
fifth day.
ate at some dim sum restaurant with siying, sean, jiayin, cecilia and felicia and junhao. so we actually walked pass streets and streets and some lady brought us to this restaurant which was like almost across the YWCA. gosh. so we walked rounds for nothing. booo. ha. couldnt really read the menu, so we just told the waitress to recommend stuff. blah blah. then checked out. went to hotel and stuff like that. plane ride, got to sit with junice AGAIN and eliana. and guess what. 40-year-old virgin was on screen. o my. and to think in singapore it was like M18. lol. (:
went home. and to find out that my sister has my phone and when i called her to ask for contacts she just KARP my phone. wth. so i called her back and scolded her so badly you would have thought blah blah. o yeah. that was what i was mad about. dunno why i cried too. i got too agitated maybe. lol. o well.

probably like what mr lim said, our last tour with the band as a regent band member. hope thats not true. i want a tour next year too. and we have done what we can to teach our juniors and let them mature through this year. some of you all might be fully concentrating on Os, but must remember to come back to band okay. why? because once a regent band member, always one. and our sec 3s rock the most. because seriously, which other current batch is crazy enough to take so many batch photos in a day. zz. and there's no crap that what "sec 3s next year leaving early" that sort of thing. blah. so what if leaving early. i dont care. i bet you all dont too. cause band is just band. and we'll try to stay till the end of sec 4 or 5. most of you came for the trip. joy joy. and i realised people like karin and xinying can actually talk more than me. HA. so yep. next year sec 3 already! streaming over and stuff like that. so must work hard for the next SYF. i want to go SYF 2007. sob sob. but what to do? retain ah? lol. lalalalala. must take care of Gang Yuan ok! cannot bully him. grrr. people like him worked so hard to go up to the next stream to be with you all can?! ho hum. and good luck Gang Yuan too. you'r always in OUR batch. ha. ha. ha. congratulations. especially to those who have been on the trip. i can rightfully say that those who went for the trip has matured a lot faster. and i seriously mean it. through the trip, some of you all cried because of tiny little stuff you all are worried about, this all showed me you care a LOT for your band. a lot. and i'm impressed. but hey, those who didnt went for the trip did so too. through all the orientation and banner stuff, you all took time to do, to plan, to study the layouts and stuff. all this needs hardwork and time. yep. next exchange is coming up soon, and you'r going to be a senior soon, so work hard and step on the pedal a little bit more. accelerando. lol. all of you are definitely not the 'old' sec 1s i use to face, but the new 'old' ones. jiayou! and its 2:30pm. woah. those who didnt read all this posts had better read it. i type so long for nothing huh. lol.
random: i'm so warm. why cant we have hongkong's weather. argh.
i'm just not in the mood now.
at around 5pm, my dad and i went into a mad rush. sort of. we went to bishan, to look for HERMIT CRABS. yes. dad wanted to buy some. and we looked for it for like an hour cause everyone gave different directions. and gillian's one was the most reliable, so YAY! to her.
but dad was so hungry. so we were to eat. couldnt decide between taiwan dim sum or italian pasta. so we ate random food at the basement from different stores. we split ALL the food we bought into half so that we wont get full. lol. our food listing dinner order.
1. chicken pie from polar
2. sour cream pretzel from aunt -something-
3. oyster mee sua from that taiwan shop
4. jap balls from some jap stall (it sucks)
5. jap chicken sticks from jap stall
6a. chocolate soya milk for dad
6b. strawberry juice for me
7. spring rolls from old chang kee
finally we went back to find the crabs. and. hermit crabs are so damn adorable! (:
2 crabs plus some other accessories cost like $101. woah. haha. was about to buy when dad pointed out that we would have to bring the poor crab about till we finished shopping for my stuff. true. so we went to get my stuff.
i'm such a spender, i never knew that. i really had never.
first, went to CONVERSE. bought a jacket ($60), shirt ($30) and a long sleeved shirt($40). and its mostly guys' clothes. muahas. people, feel jealous! especially pohying! haa. guess what. bishan had this REALLY big MAN STUDIO shop (bigger than lot 1's laa) and my dad was pulling me in to buy, and i did the most stupid thing ever. i said, "later come back". which we didnt, due to lack of time. sad. ):
next, we went over to causeway point. terminated my classes with the music school for next year, might be going to another school. MSM maybe. then went to POPULAR. got my band file, ribbons and loads of stuff. then went to body shop, metro and lots of places before ending up at John Little where i found other stuff i needed. then went to 77th street to look for black hair accessories but couldnt find it. rushed to CHAMELON and it was like CLOSED already but the store gate was half shut. so dad told the saleswoman something and i got to go in and buy the stuff. woo. then. we chewed on bread and mash potatoes before realising that the shop outside were selling the exact same things we were looking for. whatever. still had time, (10pm) so got a hairband and coloured socks. haaa.
so we didnt had the time to get my hermit crabs. o well. dad said i could get it next week. and maybe FOUR crabs instead. yay yay. i like this. its like my house is under major renovation. o yes it is. thanks to the PLUMBER who came ytd. ahha. shall be getting it with my new desk, new cd rack and new book racks. and perhaps a new dog a few months later. :D
its not my fault i do this so last minute. i just like that rush feeling. dad said he is like that too. SEE! ITS IN THE GENES! /frowns
ok. i'm only halfway done in packing my bag. argh. and my luggage is FREAKING big. boo!

ate breakfast with my dad in the morning at s11. and i dont want to say what i was thinking when i saw these little kids running around wildly. hoho.
the plumber came today to fix the tap. and guess what. my dad decided to do a on-the-spot "renovation". the piano has been moved all the way to my room, chipping 2 LARGE holes on the living room floor on the way. gosh. and we'r going to throw away the sofas soon. and buy hermit crabs. and get a new desk and change the layout of my room after the trip. here, a draft i did.

o yes. my cupboard(s) ARE that big. 6 doors ok. haha. and for those of you who dont know my practice area, its the area where i have a straw mat, 3 music stands, one straw chair and all my other instruments. to practice at. lol. the desk. it was my dad's and cheryl's idea to put it by the window. to "see the view". hur. and my hi fi set is going on the desk. dont know about the feet massager yet. hmm. cant decide what to put in the empty middle. a mat? dunno. o ya. and i'm going to hang up all my extra violins and guitars and other instruments on the walls. x) EXCITED!
so ya, now my hifi player and feet massagers are lying everywhere on my floor. zz.
went to church. made a lot of new friends whom i nv met before this time. guess what. peiyi (a p6 girl) is from my sister's p5 class. what a co-incidence. haha. and there's 2 sec 2 boys, both from dunearn band. one trombone (benjamin), another clarinet (gabriel). lol. hmm. testimonial today by this celebrity was really touching. yes it was.
and the cellgroup went to marche at orchard later. marche is a radical restaurant. very. will pull my dad there someday. anyway. i hate orchard. but thankfully its at night, not much of people. haha. lights in orchard are up, think this year's theme is music. cause lights of music notes, french horns, harps, drummer boys that sort of thing is all up. cool. sec 3 band christmas outing can go there again! :D
plus we took loads of photos. weird ones i guess. in the middle of the road, in a fake photo frame, that sort of thing. hoho. so duh. went home really late. ben send me home,(and its his first time sending a girl home. errr. so i'm supposed to be honoured. (:) since he stays rightttt across me with only a little garden cum walkway in the middle of our two flats. which leads me into thinking i can shout over. LOL. ok. stupid thought. x)
and he said he could hear brasses especially french horn playing near my block. opps. think that was when jordan they all came over. and played so freaking loud. ahem. not that its their fault. haha.
ok this will be my last post before i leave for hongkong. i'm LAZY to update tomorrow, which is a sunday, which means almost nothing to update about. ok. so bye. MISS ME AND PRAY THAT THE PERFORMANCE WOULD BE A SUCCESS!
o right. dad gave me 1000 hk dollars which is from S$220. thats a lot. o well. he told me to "use it all up", so uh. yeah.

last rehearsal for hongkong trip. morning's combine was day 3 concert. after lunch, had this meeting session with the section. and i love my combined section. cause we are so crappy. :DDDD
clarinet party! /grins
o ya. i tried wei jie's clarinet today. so easy to play high notes. and so in tuned. zz. and victor still had the cheek to ask, "you try his clarinet nice or not?" wah lao.
2nd combine was on day 1 concert. merry widow was sounding good. intermezzo and the rest were okay. (:
ahha. it was so funny to see the brasses and some woodwinds wrapping the air bubble sack thing and straps around their cases and instruments.
and i was evil. i poured water over nathasha first. emptied my whole water bottle. and the rest followed. LOL. x)
watched SEA games. woohoo. singapore got quite a number of medals. so they played the singapore anthem a few times. i'm not at the scene, but still can feel the pride. well done team singapore! (:

seriously, i dont feel like its my bday. cause i dont feel 15. in other words, i dont feel like i've grown. especially in height. and maturity maybe.
thanks for the oodles of smses, gifts, phone calls, bday wishes, from band members, ex-band members, family, classmates and schoolmates. and ex-school mates. and GROUPS. haha.
err. double thanks to my dear band EXCOs who poured 2 tubs of water over me when i was still in my school uniform with some water bottle splashes here and there. hurhurrr.
i've learnt a lesson. never let charles pump me for not bringing my badge. cause it'll only lead to me getting cheated by the band with WATER. ):
band. for the first time, the run through for merry widow wasnt bad. i felt really energetic and stuff. cinema wasnt that good this time. argh. must jia you, rgt and bn! :DDD
hmmm. i've this thinking that God grants people special bday wishes on his or her bday. so i have been thinking of mine for the whole day. still cant think of a special wish. lol.
spent like $170 today. $30 for the mango cake (with no disgusting whip cream!). $75 on some random guy clothes i like from giordano, too bad not MAN STUDIO. o well. $40 on the sushi meal. $20 for simple plan cd.
