met up with aaron, yvonne, zhenjun, yaxin, hayati, nathasha and jocelyn. took train to raffles mrt station.lots of policemen walking around.
turned out it was the national day parade preview or something.
and we saw the ARMY TANKS and CIVIL DEFENCE showing off their vehicles.
IT WAS SO COOL !
so many tourists stopped and point point point.
entered VCH. saw RGS and some of the japanese band peeps getting ready. RI was no where in sight yet.
bought the booklet for 50 cents. cute. (:
concert starts. RI's band seems to have reduced. sec 2s and 3s only, maybe. but the music is still THERE. intonation was fab. (:
RGSSB next. screams. /grins
they have an Eb clarinet player!! /hops around
the music by RGSSB was so heartwarming. not very in tune but woah. their dynamics, everything can cover up for it.
i FEEL the GOLD WITH HONOURS in this 2 bands. ((:
jap band next. Miyazaki Dream Band. slightly disappointed. their intonation, sound, balance, dynamics, everything was totally VERY VERY GOOD. PERFECT, i can say.
but i couldnt feel the music.
too technical i guess. dunno.
their Eb clarinet was probably in the 2nd row or something. and that Eb clarinet player can hit VERY HIGH and VERY in tune. but so what. i cant feel the music.
not even when the band did very very good crescendos or anything.
combined band. RI, RGS and jap band. they played some set piece from japan's sort of SYF. plus Its A Small World.

went to the museum out of fun with zhenjun, jocelyn, nathasha and yaxin. had so much fun man. regent pupils only have to pay 2 bucks. wow. (:
ate dinner at Suki Sushi with dad, cheryl, yaxin and zhenjun. and dad kept bombarding dear yaxin and zhenjun with questions. LOL.
caught 'Red Candy' with zhenjun at causeway point. at 11:50pm. midnight ghost shows. lol. poor yaxin, wensheng and hayati couldnt come. ):
i want a new phone. ):
